Original Artworks

A bold fusion of mixed media, abstraction, and symbolism — where vibrant colour, layered textures, and unexpected juxtapositions reflect the emotional complexity of lived experience. Yaelly creates this way to challenge linear narratives, inviting viewers to see beauty in contradiction, and to find power in personal reinvention.

“Me vs. Me” | 2025 | 48” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas

This vibrant piece transforms the tennis court into a theatre of the mind, where the match is internal and the stakes are personal. The lone figure, adrift in exaggerated colour and whimsical distortion, isn’t battling an opponent, in fact he’s confronting himself. Spectators fade into irrelevance as the scene pulses with quiet tension, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty of self-focus, the courage of solitude, and the resolve it takes to show up for yourself. It’s not about winning, it’s about witnessing your own evolution.

“Look in the mirror. That’s your competition.”

“Step Back” | 2025 | 36” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas with Resin Feature

This piece invites the viewer into a moment of disorientation. An abstract close-up that resists clarity, rendered in bold strokes and saturated hues. The court is familiar, yet fragmented, asking us to pause and reconsider what we think we see. It speaks to the human tendency to fixate, to lose ourselves in detail, and gently reminds us that understanding often lives in the space we step back from. It’s not about the game, it’s about the lens through which we choose to witness it.

“Rallying Eyes” | 2025 | 24” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas with Resin Finish

“Rallying Eyes” is a vibrant meditation on presence, perception, and personal focus. The stylized group of figures that are mostly adorned in sunglasses, represents the ever-watchful gaze of society. Yet the true subject of the piece is not the crowd, but the quiet resolve to rise above it. The sunglasses serve a deeper purpose: they obscure the eyes (the windows to the soul) reminding us that we can never truly know what others are thinking or feeling. Their judgments are shaped by unseen biases, and their opinions are often projections. To succeed, one must learn to ignore the noise and trust their own vision.

“Step onto the Court” | 2025 | 15” x 30” | Acrylic on Canvas with Resin Finish

“Step onto the Court” captures the pivotal moment when observation gives way to action. The stylized tennis court, bathed in surreal hues and surrounded by lush, dreamlike foliage, becomes a metaphor for the threshold between comfort and courage. The empty chair and looming light pole suggest a space once watched from the sidelines that is now ready to be claimed. This piece speaks to the bravery it takes to move from spectator to participant, to embrace challenge and vulnerability in pursuit of growth.

“It is not the critic who counts… The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena… who strives valiantly… who errs… but who does actually strive to do the deeds.”

“Game, Set” | 2025 | 36” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas

“Game, Set” captures the tension and beauty of unfinished narratives. By omitting the word match, the piece invites viewers to reconsider the nature of outcomes, not as fixed endpoints, but as fluid interpretations. The vibrant court, dynamic figures, and surreal landscape evoke the immediacy of challenge, yet resist closure. It’s a visual reminder that every moment holds potential, and the meaning we assign to it is ours to choose.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”

“Love You to the Moon and Back” | 2023 | 36” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas with Resin Finish

This abstract composition blends fluid motion with heartfelt sentiment. Vertical streaks of pink, orange, and yellow cascade like celestial clouds, anchored by a bold blue horizon line that drips downward suggesting both gravity and emotional depth. In the corner, the handwritten phrase “Love you to the moon & back” adds a personal touch, transforming the piece into a visual love letter.

“Take Me to the Milky Way” | 2023 | 36” x 48” | Mixed Media with Resin Feature

This dynamic piece fuses realism with abstraction, centring on a partially rendered astronaut’s helmet surrounded by expressive strokes of black, pink, and orange. The cosmic backdrop evokes motion and mystery, while the fragmented brushwork suggests a journey not just through space, but through identity. The helmet which is traditionally a symbol of exploration and protection, becomes a metaphor for introspection and emotional distance.

“The greatest explorer on this earth never takes voyages as long as those of the man who descends to the depth of his heart.”

“Princess Diana” | 2021 | 20” x 24” | Mixed Media

“Princess Diana” blurs the line between identity and performance. A repeated photographic portrait is disrupted by bold strokes and a cartoon-like face, creating a layered tension between authenticity and artifice. The exaggerated features and offset composition challenge viewers to consider how personas are constructed, both by ourselves and by others.

“Legendary” | 2021 | 20” x 24” | Mixed Media

A tribute to legacy and duality, Legendary honours the spirit of Kobe Bryant through layered symbolism. The juxtaposition of jersey numbers 8 and 24, expressive brushwork, and fragmented portraiture reflect the evolution of a legend. The abstract overlays suggest movement, intensity, and emotional depth capturing not just the athlete, but the legacy.

“Family Portrait” | 2021 | 36” x 48” | Mixed Media

A celebration of unity and individuality. Four women stand arm-in-arm, their painted bodies and photographic faces creating a striking contrast between abstraction and realism. The vibrant red background pulses with energy, while the interlocked pose speaks to solidarity, friendship, and shared strength.

“What’s Normal Anyways” | 2023 | Mixed Media on Skateboard Deck

This custom piece reimagines portraiture through the lens of duality and self-expression. Created as a commissioned work, the skateboard deck becomes a bold canvas for exploring identity — one half rendered in realistic detail, the other abstracted and surreal, with a single exaggerated eye confronting the viewer. Dripping paint and vibrant orange tones suggest motion, tension, and the layered complexity of how we present ourselves versus how we’re perceived. A deeply personal interpretation, this artwork blurs the line between representation and introspection.

“Frida” | 2021 | 20” x 24” | Mixed Media

A surreal interplay of photography and abstraction, “Frida” explores the complexity of identity and perception. The layered faces suggest multiplicity in how we are seen, how we see ourselves, and how those views often conflict. Expressive pastel brushstrokes disrupt the realism, while the highlighted eye becomes a focal point of introspection. This piece invites viewers to question what lies beneath the surface.

“Evil Eye” | 2022 | 36” x 48” | Acrylic on Canvas

A radiant fusion of emotion and symbolism, this series declares the triumph of love over adversity. Two heart-like forms float within a vibrant field of brushstrokes suggesting both chaos and harmony. At the centre of each heart lies the protective symbol of the evil eye. Traditionally used to ward off negativity, the evil eye here becomes a guardian of love itself — watchful, resilient, and unwavering. The interplay of dripping paint and expressive texture reinforces the idea that love is fluid yet powerful, capable of shielding and healing.

“Love is the most powerful force in the universe — it protects, it heals, and it sees beyond what others cannot.”

“Drift” | 2023 | Mixed Media on Skateboard Deck

"Drift” is a meditation on surrender and the quiet courage it takes to let go of control and allow yourself to be carried by the unknown. It speaks to the moments when ambition pauses, when reflection overtakes motion, and when solitude becomes a space for clarity. The figure in this piece isn’t lost; they’re suspended in possibility. By blending themes of exploration and introspection, this piece invites viewers to consider that progress isn’t always forward but typically inward.

“Still Life 1” | 2022 | 20” x 24” | Mixed Media

This triptych tells a quiet story of transformation. Still Life 1 begins with the lemon that is bright, sour, and uninvited. It sits among symbols of uncertainty, a metaphor for the moments when life hands us what we didn’t ask for. Yet even here, there’s a glimmer of hope: the plants reach upward, hinting at resilience.

“Still Life 2” | 2023 | 20” x 24” | Mixed Media

In Still Life 2, that hope blooms into abundance. The scene is playful, lush, and full of colour, proof that joy can grow from what once felt daunting.

$550.00 framed

“Still Life 3” | 2023 | 40” x 16” | Acrylic on Canvas

Then comes Still Life 3, a return to the original setting, but with a shift in focus. The lemon is no longer central; the books remain, but the energy has changed. It’s a visual reminder that our beginnings don’t define us but rather it’s how we choose to evolve that writes the story.
